The French Women’s National Team Have Made Clairefontaine Their Runway

The French Women’s National Team is setting the standard for style.
There’s always been an understanding in football that the France men's national team sets the tone when it comes to style. For years, they’ve been the reference point.
And rightly so.
But the women’s team deserve your attention too.
For the past two years, I’ve been waiting for international break just to see what they’re wearing. It’s literally my version of Fashion Week. And every time, they deliver.
What stands out isn’t just that they dress well. It’s that every single player has a distinct point of view. You can tell that their personal style is truly their own.
Take Sakina Karchaoui. She’s a regular at Fashion Week—at shows, at viewings, always front and center. And it shows in her style.
Then there’s Grace Geyoro, who I think is completely underrated in the style conversation. Just go look at her Instagram. Clean, composed, and always put together in a way that feels intentional without trying too hard. And always with a cute bag.

Melvine Malard brings something different. She plays with tailoring, ties, and color in a way that feels personal. If you didn’t know she was a footballer, you’d probably assume she was a designer or a stylist. And in a way, she is—she and her fiancée style each other, and you can see that creative exchange in how she dresses.
I could go on and on.
So when we talk about style in football, and when we talk about the French national teams as the standard, make sure you’re talking about the women too.
Because right now, they’re not just part of the conversation.
They’re leading it.
